Terms & Conditions of Hire for Wendy’s Wardrobe
- It is assumed that customers have read, understood and agreed to the listed conditions of hire. Signature thereof will be deemed as acceptable.
- When hiring any costumes please bring a proof of address, e.g. Driving License.
- All costumes remain the property of Wendy’s Wardrobe.
- Any change of costume is solely at Wendy’s Wardrobe discretion and subject to a £10 surcharge.
- Customers must wear suitable underwear whilst wearing our fancy dress costumes.
- Costume hire period is for one night; the following working day is allowed for return, unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking.
- Costumes must be returned on the date specified on the invoice; failure to do so will result in a £5.88 per day surcharge.
- The named hirer has the sole responsibility for the costume/s during the hire period. Customers who do not return costumes will be prosecuted.
- Costumes to be returned within normal shop opening times.
- No refunds will be issued once a costume has been booked.
- If a costume has been booked and subsequently damaged by a third party before your hire date, Wendy’s Wardrobe will offer a comparable replacement.
- The total hire price must be paid to book a costume. No costumes will be booked or “put to one side” without payment.
- Customers must not wash costumes.
- Customers must not attach sticky labels to any part of the costume.
- Customers must not pin, sew or iron any part of the costume that is hired.
- The deposit will be forfeited or the cost of a replacement charged if a costumes is:
- Returned beyond reasonable repair
- Returned needing specialised cleaning
- Returned with permanent damage, i.e. cigarette burn/s
- Returned with one or more items missing
- Not returned to Wendy’s Wardrobe for whatever reason
- Customers should check their costume/s thoroughly and advise the shop before closing time if there are any problems with it. A message can be left on 01634 826760 or you can email wendydressup@aol.com. Any damage not reported will be charged to the hirer.
- The deposit or the total cost of a replacement will be deducted from the customer’s credit /debit card if the costume is returned, as per condition 15.
- Costumes do not have wigs and accessories included in the price unless otherwise stated.
- Hangers and bags must be returned, failure to do so will result in a £1 charge per missing hanger/bag.
- No refunds on accessories will be given unless they are faulty.
- We accept CASH, DEBIT & CREDIT CARDS. We do not accept cheques, personal or business. The security deposit is currently £50 per costume. This also applies to footwear. In some cases the security deposit is £100.
